IMPS Success Story - April

April came to live with me in March of this year. She was
turned in to IMPS last fall. Not much is known about her background, other than she has had several
litters of puppies. She spent a few months in a with a wonderful gal in an IMPS foster home. I saw April's
picture and bio on the IMPS site and knew she had to be mine. (My 15 y/o MinPin Penny went to RB
last November) so I was dearly missing the MinPin hijinx.
I saw her picture on the site and just knew she was the one. Everyone thought I was nuts.... how could anyone
become so attached to a dog's picture on the internet. After a month of communicating with her foster care
mother, it was finally decided that I would be the best choice for April. April had issues..... severe separation
anxiety, fear of everything, especially men. Little by little, with the help of a wonderful trainer and veterinarian,
April blossomed into a fantastic gal. There isn't anything she can't do. She aced obedience classes and is still
going up the ladder with that. She loves the two older family dogs she resides with. They help her a lot and she
takes care of them, also. Everyone who comes in contact with April loves her. She travels with me everywhere.
I can't bear to board her, so she goes along in her crate and it works out just fine. I'm the most fortunate person
to have the honor of having April in my life. She's the berries!!
There is another story that goes along with how special April is and perhaps why she came into my life, but I'll
wait and send that along another time. Anyway, here are a few pictures of her.
