IMPS Success Story: Chocko
Mon, 05 Jun 2006 15:09:08 -0400 - from Alisha
Hi. My name is Alisha E. and I adopted a 5 year old chocolate
min pin from IMPS-Ohio in March. Her given name is Chocko, we also call
her Toots as in Tootsie Roll. Amy, her foster mom, suggested that I do a
write up and send some pics of Chocko. Her story is below and I have
attached some pics.
This is Chocko (pronounced like chocolate minus the late, she is also
called Toots- as in Tootsie roll). She is 5 years old. This little girl
has been through a lot. Chocko was originially an owner give up, went
into an IMPS foster home, was adopted & abused by the adopters and then
was returned to yet another foster home and that's where my boyfriend
and I came into the picture.

Success Story - Chocko
We live in Buffalo, NY and went to Canal
Winchester, OH to adopt her. When we first walked in the door she barked
at us for 10 minutes, I didn't think she was going to want to go with
us. After enticing her with some treats, she was on our laps in no time.
This little one has so much love to give, after she has met you, she is
on your lap and giving you kisses. I cannot help but to give her tons of
hugs and kisses all day. We are socializing Chocko with new people to
show her that she does not have to be scared of strangers anymore. It
boggles my mind why someone would hurt any dog, especially Chocko. Even
after those adopters abused her, when they dropped her off to the foster
home, she slept by the door all night waiting for them. Like I said
before, she just has so much love and wants it in return and she
deserves it! Chocko has always had canine playmates, but now she is the
only dog and it is her time to shine. She is very smart and catches on
quick to new tricks such as sit, lie down, stay, stop, and leave it.
Every time I look into her I eyes, I tell her that she does not have to
be scared anymore, that no one will hurt her no matter what, and that we
love her. Please enjoy her photos, I will keep updating.
