Kingston's New Digs!

Kingston

To begin with, Kingston picked me. He was not the dog I was looking to add to my life. I was looking for a younger dog so we could grow old together. Who says you can't teach an older dog new tricks.

Phyllis S. definitely knows her dogs! And what a gracious host! I spent almost three hours with her and 25 minpins. What an afternoon! Of course, I could not remember all the names, but since I was going home with a new addition, I did not have to take all the dogs whose names I could not remember :) Probably because even George (the hunter) came to say hi.

We are having a blast. Living close to the Cape Cod Canal is wonderful for Kingston. We walk twice a day, rain, snow or shine. He greets each dog and owner we meet with a cute little nubbie butt wiggle. He's made quite a few friends. His girlfriend, Lillie, is a gentle, lovable yellow lab that lives downstairs.

Kingston

I work at the Mass Maritime Academy and Kingston gets to go running with the students twice a week. He doesn't much like the office environment, so he only goes to work with me one day a week. Other days, he stays with Lillie either at her place or ours. He and Lillie love to walk together and go swimming. He has toured several lighthouses on the Cape and will travel to Virginia for Thanksgiving.

Kingston

Kingston will graduate Basic Obedience on 12 Nov and begin Advanced on 19 December. Agility may be in our future.

Thank you Phyllis S. and IMPS for my forever companion!

It's been a few months, and I am loving life to the max! Mom took me to VA for Thanksgiving and again for Christmas. I met the rest of my new family, John (the dad), Denise, Alyssa (the kid) and AB. AB is a mean little Boxer/Boston Terrier mix, but with a few more visits, I'll win her over. I will be moving to VA in June and cruise with my new family on the Chesapeake Bay. Hey, that means I'll be a sailor just like mom!

I graduated Obedience II the day of the Blizzard of 06. Next is agility!! Mom found out this weekend just how much I love playing and hunting in the snow. I had her out at all hours and boy was it great! Now that I have learned to listen to her, mom let me out off-lead to play in the snow. I taught her a new trick - when I want to go out, I grab her gloves and put them at the door. So she knows it's time to play! It's been a very busy two days playing, hunting, visiting with Lillie and loving life.

I also have this really great place to sleep! Move over mom!
