Hi everyone -- just getting ready to sign off and wanted to update everyone
that tomorrow is the big day! We're soooo excited and will post tomorrow
afternoon about the big arrival! we're taking the camera so we can catch
those first pictures!!!

We just got settled in! He is gorgeous! I got tears in my eyes when we were
@ the airport and I saw the sky cap walking towards us with his crate in his
hand! He jokingly said it took 5 guys just to get him off the plane! I
wanted to open it up sooooo bad and take him out but knew I couldn't. I put
my nose up to the door and he was giving me kisses through the cage! He was
very calm and quiet! He was so precious looking. He had goop on his eyes
like he had been crying! When we got home, Neil took the crate in first so
that Killian could smell it and I walked in with him in my arms and set him
down. He stayed by my side while Killian came over and smelled him. He
smelled her too then growled @ her and she backed up! She kinda made a
whimpering noise kinda like she was ticked off...

Okay friends, Neil and I are having a hard time deciding on a name for Little
Guy. Here's our narrowed down list. Please vote for your favorite name and
from that we'll decide! If you have any ideas, please submit them but we may
have already thought of it. Our list was originally about 30 names! We had
Red Names, Size Names, Beer Names (cause of Killian) and names having to do
with Texas cause that's where he is from and I too was born in Texas. Here
are the finalists!

everyone would hate it... Makes us sound like a bunch of alcoholics... Killian

Hi everyone, I just thought of something so share. Since we buy our food in 8
lb bags we store it in the Rubbermaid canisters that are sold to store laundry
detergent powder. I find that it's really easy and convenient to do this. The
reason I thought about sharing it is cause I had to buy another one today for
Guinness! It's nice cause it keeps it sealed.
I remember once when I was in high school, my parents used to buy the big bags
of food for their poodle and store it in the garage. Well, one day when my
brother, his girlfriend and I came home from lunch and we had to feed the dog.
So instead of taking the bowl to the garage to fill it up, I brought the bag
inside to pour it in the bowl. Wouldn't you know a mouse came out along with
the food!!! We ended up spending our entire lunch time trying to catch the
mouse. It was horrible and I was VERY glad that I didn't reach my hand into
the bag to fill the bowl. I guess ever since then I hate storing dog food in
a bag and that's why I use the canisters.
Anyway - I just thought I'd share that and maybe help someone out!
Guinness is doing wonderful! His potty training is going pretty good! He's
not fully trained yet but he's doing a good job! I was away for 3 hours and
he didn't go in his crate! He also sleeps the entire night without getting up
to go potty.
Well, tomorrow is my last day of vacation and my last full day with Guinness.
I know I'm going to go through puppy withdrawal... any suggestions? Jenn,

Little Guy :)
I was not going to post this publicly on the list because of the
circumstances...however something wonderful has come out of it and I HAVE to
share it with my Min Pin family!
Most of you knew that I had gotten pregnant in July and that I was due in
April. Some people even sent in their guesses as to when the baby will be
born and how much it will weigh etc...
Well - the unthinkable happened - I had a miscarriage last week :(
Yes it was Very hard for me and It still is and it always will be. I get
teary eyed just writing this and I cried to sleep last night cause it just hit
me and I couldn't stop thinking about it. The doctor said I can try again
soon, so there is nothing wrong with me. I had A LOT of support from my
friends and family and TONS of support from the best husband in the world,
Neil.
I had privately emailed everyone that had sent in their guesses to tell them
what happened. Well, NATURALLY, Auntie Wendy has come through again! Do you
know what this wonderful, warm hearted woman is doing for Neil and I? She is
sending me one of her babies -- actually one of Ladybug's babies!!! I'M
GETTING ANOTHER MIN PIN!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't tell you all how excited I am so I'll show you =

Wendy and I have been talking now for a week about this and are making plans!
"Little Guy" (what we have been calling him) will be arriving by plane on
Monday, October 12, 1998, @ approximately 11:36am!!!! I am counting down the
days and I have to say I feel like Erika did!!!!! I start my vacation on
Friday, October 9, so I get to spend a whole week getting to know him and
getting him used to his new home and family!
I called today and made his first vet appointment and they were even excited
for me!!!
I am so excited -- and Neil and Killian are too! She is going to be a big
sister after all!!!!!
I think Wendy should be nominated angel of the year for all that she has done
for me and everyone else on the list!!!
I truly feel like I can't thank her enough for being so unselfish and caring
enough to think about my feelings and what would make me happy! I truly
haven't smiled like this in a while!
So anyway -- now I'm going to have 2!!! He is 12 weeks -- although he's
probably almost 13 weeks. We have been referring to him as "Little Guy" but I
don't know what his name will be. It might end up being Little Guy - who
knows!
Well, everyone - I'm SOOOOO glad I told you and can share my new baby with you
and I am doing better. It just hits me sometimes and it's hard to forget....
I have come to realize that things happen for a reason and that there is
nothing I can do about it. It's just hard because I just wish I knew the
reason...
please help me thank Wendy because she is going WAY above and beyond the call
of duty here! THANKS WENDY - YOU'RE THE GREATEST!!!!! Jennifer, Neil and
Killian

Jenn, Neil and Killian - who will be staying home and enjoying her last few
minutes of peace before her pesky brother disrupts her life! LOL she's going
to love him!!!
Little Guy is here!
He played around for a while -- he found Killian's big basket of toys and ran
off with one of them! He chased Killian around the couch for a little while
too! We fed him a little bit but he wasn't too interested in it!
Know he's lying on Neil on the couch catching up with sleep! He has a vet
appt @ 3:00pm then we're going to come home and play all night!
We haven't came up with a name yet. We have a big list but just can't decide!
I'm going to go now and I'll talk to you all soon!

We have always wanted this name for a Black and Tan dog but I guess it's good
enough for little red!!!
He's absolutely adorable!!! just full of life and curiosity! Neil gets off
work @ 2:00pm today so I will tell him that Guinness is winning... After all
it was the first name we picked out and my mom always used to say to go with
your first instinct! Aren't moms great!
Well, I can't stay on long... found out our fan in our hard drive is broken,
which is why it's been making weird noises for over a week! My brother
stopped by to see Little Guy last night and I said, Hey why is my computer
making noise??? He looked at it and said he's surprised it hasn't blown up
yet... YIKES!!! What would I do without my Computer?

Announcing his name...
We've been calling him that all day and it seems to fit very well! He is such
a precious angel! We played a little while today and he fell asleep in my
arms wrapped in a blanket. Well, since I'm on vacation, I feel like I have to
keep up with my laundry and housework since I never get it done when I am
working so I decided to work a little. I put him down, on the couch in his
blanket and left him to sleep... About every 3-5 minutes I would peek around
the corner to make sure he hadn't woken up and decided to shred the couch or
something!!! He just lied there in peace resting his little worn out puppy
body! It was so funny cause I tiptoed around cleaning so I wouldn't wake him
up! How terrible is that????
Neil got home and they played for a while and then he ate and off he went to
the couch with Neil!!!! Neil worked 6a-2p today and he plays hockey tonight @
11p so he has no problems with nestling with his baby on the couch! I did
make him fix the fan thingy so I could be online!
Before they crashed, Guinness was chasing Killian around the house and
cornered her under the computer desk... it was very amusing... Killian gave up
and jumped on my lap and is now resting under my shirt -- although she thinks
she's hiding from him!!!
It's sOOOOOOOOO funny and very amazing and amusing! I've taken a lot of
pictures but not many of them are together since they are still leery of each
other!
Well, I rambled enough - I have to look at how cute he looks! Talk to you all
soon!
PS - I love the idea about min pin sitting each other's pups!!! GREAT
SUGGESTION for those of us close enough for each other! Jenn
