Hi mag,
These are photos from our MinPin Fun Day/Fund Raiser. We raised $625!!! We
rented a doggie day care center for 2 hours and did raffles and contests and
blind auctions!! There were probably 30 MinPins there!! It was GREAT fun and
totally easy to do. I just sent out emails to adoptive homes and volunteers
and anyone else I thought might be interested. My agility instructor came
and helped folks learn a few things.
Roscoe is dressed up in the cowboy hat. Rocket is the cheerleader. Rex is
the lady bug. All three of them won for the costume contest!!! We just kept
saying......"It's all for a good cause!!"
For those who know Phoebe, Anita P.'s dog, she is in the photo below
and is the tiniest one with the white face. She did great,
although will probably need a chiropractic adjustment tomorrow!! She was a
hoot!!
In one of the group photos I can identify folks from left to right...

Hi mag,
This is Roscoe enjoying an afternoon sunbath on the cat perch.
The other photos are of my old horse, Gabe. He is going to be 34 years old this
spring!! Hard to believe when you look at him. I wish I had moved him so the
manure pile wasn't in the background, but this was a nice shot that showed
how plump and healthy he is!!!
Thanks, Amy IMPS Maine

Hi mag,
Here is a photo of Roscoe doing is sit-stay for an obedience trial. Poor
little guy had to sit next to an IRISH WOLFHOUND!! He stayed nicely and got
is CD obedience title that day!! I am VERY proud, as this little snot was
doomed to be put to sleep in the shelter for biting. In an obedience trial
the judge has to touch him and he would get very stressed. He would growl or
curl his lip. I worked hard getting him over that and finally brave enough
to enter trials. He had several trials he got very stressed, but a few he
did awesome!!! This trial was one of the good days!! He did curl his lip a
little at the judge, but I guess she simply didn't see it. Kind of like
swearing under your breath and hoping your teacher doesn't hear you!! LOL!!
The next level in obedience will not include the judge touching him, so it
should be a lot easier!!

Hi mag!!!
These were taken this weekend at the Fryeburg USDAA show in Maine. The
photographer put them on a CD for me, which is cool, so I can mess around
with them and use them on the computer. :D Jess is the little brown dog who
got me started on MinPins. She is a MinPin/Australian Shepherd mix. Roscoe
is the dog with the EARS! Colby is the dog "flying" over that jump! She
usually jumps 16", but is probably clearing 24"!!!! She is my most athletic
dog!! Her thighs are "JETS"!!! She runs and runs and runs all day!! She has
tremendous energy and enthusiasm and is such a hoot to watch! She doesn't
normally jump so high and is much more efficient, but for some reason had
springs that day!!

Hi mag,
The dogs spent the day outside and Colby and Jess heard a chippie chirp.
Thinking it was in their yard (it was all the way in the WOODS!!) they ran
back and forth through the garden and along the rock wall looking for that
darn chippie!! Colby got heated up from her "work" and since I didn't have
the kiddie pool filled up she took the next best thing. Who ever said
MinPins don't like water?????

Hi mag,
Below is a note about a little rescue named Judd. His owner couldn't care
for him any more and as an "ole man" he needed a new home. A wonderful
couple from Maine, Caryn and Tom, took him in and let him live out his days
with them and their other adopted MinPin, Penny. Penny came as a special
needs dog with degenerative joint disease. Penny has been on good food and
supplements and swimming regiments and is doing great! Tom and Caryn have
opened their hearts and home to these two dogs and this note sadly reports
the passing of sweet ole Judd................
Hello all I hope things are going well for you all. It is in sadness that I
send you this note, as today Judd has decided that it was time for him to
see the light on the other side. Through Sadness and many a Tear the
decision between the Doctor and us was that Judd was just in to much pain to
let him stay with us comfortably. Ok to let you know what was wrong with
him. He has not eaten anything in the last three days, so I made a call and
got him to the vet. They did some testing and found that he was very anemic,
and his white blood cells were very low. Through x-rays and blood work the
doc felt that there was little more to do as his Liver had expand so large
as to push the heart into the esophagus which caused difficulty in
breathing. He stated that the Lung showed signs of possible tumor spread
from the Liver. He told me that he felt any other course of action was going
to find things even worse. So we had to make that decision we all dread to
make, but Caryn and I could see how uncomfortable he was and how much pain
he was in. Tom
P.S. attached will be Judd's Photo feel free to post this note and photos of
Judd on the web site. The third Photo also has Penny who is unbelievable she
has decided that the house is her personal race track.

Hello all here are some pics I took about an hour after Colby arrived home. He found his new
chair on his own. He really like treats, and Penny shared some of her treats with him. You can
see in the pics that they both took a liking to the dishwasher, what gives with that! Penny and
Colby seem to be getting along so far, I don't think he noticed that cat when he walked by the
chair she was sitting in or if he did he did not pay much attention to her. She (P.K.) just sat
there and watched him walk on by. This was while he was exploring the house. We will be taking
him to the vet on Monday to have him checked, want to make sure them ears are healing, and have
those teeth done as soon as possible. Well We will give it a month or two and I will send some
more pics of the two or three if the cat wil let us.

Hi mag!!
Here is my 04 Christmas photo! It is just me because this is the photo I am
using for my client cards. (I am a pet sitter/dog walker) The family photo
may get done later, but for now this is all I have. The dogs are from left
to right, Colby adopted through Dawn S. FIVE years ago (yikes, has it
been that long?????), Roscoe a foster failure, and little Jess my
MinPin/Aussie mix who started me on this MinPin road to craziness! :D
And I am also sending Roscoe's Halloween costume. He didn't win this year at
the local pet store contest. Stiff competition this year!
And a photo of the girls (Colby is a girl) snuggling by the woodstove. Roscoe
doesn't snuggle with canines. :P
And the horse is my newest addition, Jewel. A sweet little Arab mare I just
picked up. They said she did all these terrible things and was kind of hard
to handle. Hah, she is the nicest, kindest, gentlest horse!!! :D

Well here are some pictures we took over the Holiday season showing how Colby (adopted from Joy
in KS and send to Maine last fall) is right at home, and how Penny (our first
IMPS dog) and Colby are getting along. You can see how
content Colby is getting ready for a nap on his favorite couch. You can see how white Penny is
getting, but she still thinks she is a little kid. you can see the difference in size but no matter
Penny still rules the roost. Can't wait until the next fun day so everyone can see Colby. We figure
that Colby must have been abused by a male just by the way he acts. He is very skittish around men.
He is fine around women though. In one of the photos you can see he is just happy as horse manure
while the Grandson watches TV. He is fine with me now, but it has taken a lot of treats and just
petting for him to get use to me. You can Post these pictures on the website just to let everyone
see our two little pins.

Mag,
Can you add these photos to the saluki list. Lancelot was one of my fosters
and he was adopted by Michelle L. and also has a minpin sister Ripley.
Thanks
Here are some pictures of Ripley and Lancelot that you can put on the IMPS
website. Notice how sad Ripley was on her birthday. Her birthday wish? To
have a brother to play with! Lancelot and Ripley love to find a sunny spot
and show how pretty they are. They also like to snuggle with each other and
take a nap!

Hi mag!
Some photos for the web site...........
The first is a cartoon one of my clients/friends gave me. I think it pretty
well sums up a MinPin's perfect day. :D
Then there is Colby, forgetting how cold it is, hunting for moles. If I
don't make her come back in she will stay outside shivering just by chance
she might catch a mole. :P
Then I couldn't resist Roscoe baking in the sun. He was panting, he was
getting SO hot! Eventually he gets down and goes and plops himself on the
wood floor to cool off.
And Rich thought the Yin and Yang photo was cute!
Thanks Amy IMPS Maine

Hi mag!!
Here are some photos of my little feral barn kitty. Poor thing got scared
one day and got underfoot of one of the horses as it was leaving the barn.
She and the horses have a nice relationship and they usually look out for
her, but this time she just got under there so fast the horse couldn't avoid
her. Broke her femur in two!! :( She is now in an X-pen in the foyer, but
when I am around I let her loose in the house. She has always done well with
the dogs in the barn, but now has had to put up with them in the house. She
is definitely depressed, but as you can see making the best of her
situation. She is to be on limited activity for 4-6 weeks!! This is week
two! Sigh.............
That is my Colby snuggled under the fleece!

Hi mag!
Here are some photos of our spring Fun Day. We rent a Doggie Day care for
two hours and do raffles and contests and generally have a ball. This year
one of our new volunteers got creative and got some really great prizes. He
went to Hannafords grocery store and got them to donate a gift card. Then
went to a sporting goods store and got a gift card there. And went to Pet
Quarters and got them to donate two small travel beds. And a car wash
donated a certificate for a free car wash!! How cool is that? He just went
in and asked!!!
I love the ones of Tom picking the tickets. The dogs all though he had
something for them to eat!!!
That is my Roscoe in the leather coat and cowboy hat, Wanda's female in the
Harley hat and jacket, Rocket in the clown suit, and Rocky (Stinky's new
brother) in the Hawaiian shirt!
And Joy will recognize Colby sitting with Caren!!
Enjoy!!
Amy
PS. Whoops, forgot to mention that we raised almost $800 at this event!!

Hi mag!!
I noticed there haven't been any added photos lately, so here are a few.
Roscoe my Red Sox fan! He watches all the games with me from our comfy
couch!
And some of my new equine companion, Jewel. And the three butts in the
field!
Then there is a photo I really like from one of my regular dog walks! I
can't believe I get paid for it sometimes. Beautiful private beach, walking
the sweetest yellow lab!!!

To begin with, Kingston picked me. He was not the dog I was looking to add to my life. I was looking for a younger dog so we could grow old together. Who says you can't teach an older dog new tricks.
Phyllis S. definitely knows her dogs! And what a gracious host! I spent almost three hours with her and 25 minpins. What an afternoon! Of course, I could not remember all the names, but since I was going home with a new addition, I did not have to take all the dogs whose names I could not remember :) Probably because even George (the hunter) came to say hi.
We are having a blast. Living close to the Cape Cod Canal is wonderful for Kingston. We walk twice a day, rain, snow or shine. He greets each dog and owner we meet with a cute little nubbie butt wiggle. He's made quite a few friends. His girlfriend, Lillie, is a gentle, lovable yellow lab that lives downstairs.
I work at the Mass Maritime Academy and Kingston gets to go running with the students twice a week. He doesn't much like the office environment, so he only goes to work with me one day a week. Other days, he stays with Lillie either at her place or ours. He and Lillie love to walk together and go swimming. He has toured several lighthouses on the Cape and will travel to Virginia for Thanksgiving.
Kingston will graduate Basic Obedience on 12 Nov and begin Advanced on 19 December. Agility may be in our future.
Thank you Phyllis S. and IMPS for my forever companion!

Hi Mag,
Here's a picture of Keegan warming up by the fire. He was a foster dog that was staying with
Dee in Maine and then was adopted by the Ott family in New Hampshire. Keegan just celebrated his
3 year anniversary with his special family. I'd say he looks pretty happy!
Warm Regards,

Mikey is doing well. Becoming spoiled rotten... but we love him dearly.
He's learned some basic commands like "sit", "down", "stay", and "roll over".
Now we're working on "give your paw"!
We hope you, your family, and all the min pins are doing well.
