The Maus House :-)

Hi,
I would like to add this to your Brag pics and stories.
Our family was looking for another Miniature Pinscher to add to our family. We were at first
going to purchase one from a breeder as we had with our black & rust Min Pin Bailey. As I
was searching the web for available Pins and breeders I happened across the
IMPS site. Out of curiosity I began to look at the
available dogs. There were many, many wonderful dogs there but one little girl just caught my
eye & my heart. I kept going back to the picture to look at her. Every time I looked at
the picture it made me cry. I do not know why, she wasn't injured or abused there was just
something about her. This is the picture I saw:
I know it sounds silly but it was the look on her face I guess. Anyway I finally got up the
courage to email with questions about Meachan. I also filled out the adoption application. I did
get an email back with a little information. Then the next time I went to look on the web site
she was gone, my heart sunk! I sent off an email to her foster Mom and asked if she had been
adopted. She told me Meachan was in the animal hospital with complications, my heart sunk even
further! While she was being spayed she had complications and need a blood transfusion, then a
couple more. If she made it she would again be available.
I told her foster Mom that I would like to learn more about Meachan and the rest is history.
Meachan got better, my sister and I drove from Minnesota to Kansas to meet Meachan, about 1200
miles. Needless to say she came home with me! Meachan is an absolute joy to be around! She is
such a happy little dog and very well mannered. We love her so much!!
Here is a picture of Meachan in September 2003, about 3 weeks after she came to live with us.

adopted her. I want you all to know Meachan is VERY loved and will never want for anything
ever again.
I.M.P.S. is a wonderful caring organization and
every time anyone mentions getting a Min Pin I tell them to check out the site.
Thank you again for changing our lives!
Respectfully,
I taught Meachan to beg pretty and say Thank you, she is so cute!

Hi Mag,
Just wanted to send in a few pictures of Meachan.
If you would like to add them to her page I would love that.
She is doing very well. I couldn't believe she could get any lovelier
than she was but she has :) I am so grateful to IMPS everyday
for rescuing her and giving us the opportunity to have her in
our lives. We have also added a new member to our family.
On Jan. 04, 2004 we adopted Bitsy from IMPS. Another very
delightful addition to our family. We love them both!
Regards & thanks again!

Hi Mag,
Just thought I would send you a new picture of our babies.
We are so very thankful to IMPS for helping to bring Meachan
and Bitsy into our lives! They are so wonderful, we cannot
imagine anyone could part with them and feel so sorry for the
people that "threw" them away. What a treasure they are to us!
Thank you all at IMPS!

Hi Mag,
It's been a long time since I updated you on Meachan, Bitsey, Bailey, and our newest baby, Chloe so I just thought I would drop you a line. This is Meachan's first link if you are unsure of whom I am speaking --> http://www.mgbeng.com/archive/meachan.html.
All our fur kids are doing wonderful, they become more precious to us as every year passes. It amazes me how they have become so at home here and have fit in so perfectly! God sure knew what he was doing when he sent them to us =)
Meachan is getting a little more "grand about her nose, a few new white hairs every year" we tell her it makes her look wise LOL.
Bailey still feels he rules the roost and watches over his ladies very carefully, nobody messes with the girls! Of course, they all tell him what to do, he is really a big baby.
Bitsey, our tiny girl that we were unsure when we got her if she would make it or not has become a "miniature dynamo"! She is everywhere at once and is always presiding over all that happens in our house.
Chloe is our new member, she is a lovely chocolate lady. She joined us over a year ago, a very welcome addition to our family.
We had a few ruff sports to work out with her, she was not housetrained, and had been badly treated by her former male people. She would not let our male family members anywhere near her. It took over 6 months for her to trust my husband enough to where he could touch her, and longer for him to be able to hold her. She was never mean, just terribly scared!
Now our little chocolate lady loves my sweet ever patient husband =) She has kinda become his dog when he is home, she has to be touching him, loves to go for rides in the car with him, even licks his face and grooms him. We never thought we would see that from her, she was REALLY scared of men.
She has come out of her shell and has become such a clown, she makes me laugh out-loud at least once a day.
We are so thankful to have them all in our lives, and want to thank I.M.P.S. and also say Merry Christmas to all of you! You all work so hard helping the Min Pins, I hope you all realise how many lives you change, and how important your work is.
Thank you!!!!!!

This is Bailey & Meachan in the sleeper of our Semi. We were on our way home from Illinois
and stopped in Minneapolis to meet with Helen to pick up Bitsy. Meachan was complaining about
having to sit in the back. :)
