IMPS - South Carolina

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to give you all an update on Buddy and Glory. They are
pretty much inseparable by now. Wherever one is the other HAS to be. They
chase each other everywhere. It's a trip! They'll be sitting on the bed,
jump off to run around the living room and then run back and jump on the
bed and start the whole process all over again. They are like two little
balls of fire. Sometimes I have to calm them both down because they get
so wound up.
They haven't yet learned to share (as in, share a pillow). They've been
forced to learn to share me, although Glory doesn't always like it. She's
always preferred to sit in the fold of my legs. Well, Buddy likes to be
near my face and Glory acts all upset. So, I try to give her a little
extra love when I can because I don't want her to think I'm deserting
her.
Buddy is a little sweetheart. He just loves and loves and loves. Last
night, he slept with his little head on my shoulder! How adorable is
that. And he just looks at me with the most loving little expression.
He's definitely a doll!! Right now, he's snoozing on my lap. He's kind of
gotten more attached to me. I think it's because Mike hasn't gotten to
spend a lot of time with him because of his mom being in the hospital. I
come home for lunch and get home first after work, so they see me more
than Mike. And we've been at the hospital some this week--Mike every
single night since Tuesday. But now Mike's mom is at home and doing a lot
better. So, Mike can spend some time with the babies! In a few weeks,
when his mom feels up to it, we'll take Buddy and Glory over to their
house for a visit (and they also may spend a few days there with her to
keep her company).
Glory and Buddy sent her the sweetest card. And they totally sympathized
with her operation since Glory had a hysterectomy and Buddy had his
operation also. I guess I should explain---Mike's mom had a hysterectomy
because the doctor really suspected she had cancer (there was a mass
behind her uterus). Four years ago, they suspected she had cancer and
came back a month later and it had disappeared. And again this time, the
tumor was benign. It's truly a testament to the power of prayer. Miracles
do happen! But she's obviously in a great deal of pain. Anyway, she loves
our babies--kept a picture of Glory by her bed with her card (we didn't
yet have a pic of Buddy--we do now, but I'm not about to give it up!).
She also kept a Doby beanie baby that we gave her by her bed. I said if
you hold the ears straight up, it's Glory; if you fold the ears over,
it's Buddy (he's cropped). That rendered a smile--laughing hurts her!
Well, just wanted you all to know that the IMPS dog in my home is doing
great. And I tell everybody I know about him. My neighbor (who owns a
minpin) is very interested in IMPS. But we just love Buddy. One question
though ( I don't mean to be crude)-- he passes a lot of gas. Is there
something to this? Glory doesn't have this habit. Is this normal for some
minpins?
Well, Mike needs the computer and Buddy needs out. So, I'd better go!

Here are two of the latest pics of my two babies. As always, Glory is the
one with the big ears. Buddy seems to be getting more comfortable with the
camera. He doesn't have the usual "deer stuck in the headlights" expression
that he used to have whenever I'd take a picture of him.
The one picture looks kind of funny because they are snuggled in a cream
blanket that didn't scan very well. But, I wanted everyone to see how
inseparable they are--especially when they are snoozing. :-) Every once in a
while, they don't want to sleep right next to each other. These nights are
the ones in which I'm crammed between two minpins. But I will say this,
whenever I need to move them while they are sleeping, they just curl back up
without complaint.
The other picture is in one of their absolute favorite spots--the sun
streaming through the window. Mike and I drag froggie wherever the sunlight
is hitting and we have instantly occupied the dogs for at least an hour!
They are wonderful!!! For those of you who will receive this and don't yet
have a pet--I highly recommend a minpin--or two for that matter!!!

Mag,
The first picture is of my Buddy. I was folding laundry one night and
Buddy was watching me eagerly hoping I would throw it in the basket and
let him snuggle in it. When I didn't, he took matters into his own paws. I
heard a thump, turned around and Buddy was snuggled in the clothes in the
dryer. Total Kodak moment!
The second picture is of Scrappy. He traveled from Florida to Ohio to live
with my grandparents. This pictures was taken when he was still with me in
SC.
Thanks!

Finally, I have pictures of the little baby Lightning. He's such a doll! He
has grown about a pound since we rescued him (that makes him a whopping 2.5
pounds). We'll know more about him next week when he has all of the tests
run on his heart. In the meantime, he's a ball of fire and energy! We have
rigged pillows by the couch and the bed so he can climb up.
The first picture is of him sleeping with his favorite toy. This toy is
about as big as he is.
The second picture is the most cutest, sweetest puppy face I have ever seen.
Who can resist?? Once he's available, this is the picture I want up on the
IMPS site (along with the one of him sleeping with the toy)!
The third picture is to demonstrate his size. Buddy is about 12 pounds, so
you can tell how little Lightning is compared to him. Buddy lets Lightning
crawl all over him--very patient boy (as long as Lightning doesn't start
munching on Buddy's skin. Then, he isn't so patient).
The fourth picture is just in case you can't tell how small he is. This is
the morning after we picked him up. I got up and Michael was still sleeping.
So, I put the little baby in bed with Michael. I'm sure Michael will be
thrilled to know that everyone will see his sleeping face. I need to send in
a better picture of Michael so you can see how cute he is. In the meantime,
I think this picture is too cute!
Thanks, Mag. As always, you're awesome!!

Hey, Mag! I've received pictures from Cheryl Finney. She adopted Emme from
us last November (known as Duchess at that time) and she just adopted Niki
on Saturday. She was looking for a companion for Emme after her bird Rainbow
died. Niki turned out to be a great fit. She's already sent pictures and
said I could pass them on for the website!
Emme is the Black/Rust and Niki is the red. Both have the natural ears, but
Niki's stand straight up! Gotta love those ears!
Thanks!

Mag,
As promised, attached are photos of Paxton. They're still not great, but you
can't expect too much from a Polaroid camera. If you can do anything with
them at all, feel free.
Thanks so much!

Mag,
Please post this picture of Bernie and his family, Curtis and Tenita.
Tenita has turned Bernie into a totally well-behaved Pin. It just
goes to show that being in the right home does wonders for these babies!
The second picture is of Teresa and me when we picked up three of the GA
Peaches. Teresa (left) is holding Dixie and I'm holding Paxton (my blue baby
boy).
Thanks so much!

Hey, Mag!
Please find a picture of my little Hampton with his new family. Jeremy is
holding Katie and Heidi is holding Hampton. I really believe that Hampton
knew that this was his true family. He was totally not himself and jumped
right up into both of their laps for pets. And he even tried playing with
Katie! :-)
We were very sad to see him go, but are thrilled for the little guy. He
deserves a wonderful home and Michael and I feel that is exactly what he
got!
Thanks!

Mag, I have wanted to send a pic of Silver to the list for the longest time, can you
please put it on the website when you have time? I adopted him Dec.2000, he is my baby
boy. My daughter and I think there is nothing like him. Many times we call him "Silly"
rather than Silver because he is so full of energy -- his little tricks will keep you
laughing for hours, he is simply the best. Thanks, Sherry

Harley came to us 1/06. He was found on I85 in spartanburg south carolina. I just put my 13 year old doberman to sleep, and didnt know how much I missed having three dogs. I had a doberman and 1 min pin left. Harley cane to live with an old doberman Ranm he was 13, and a female bossy ,min pin Tinker. This past december we put Ram to sleep, Harley got to spend so much time with him he has taken on alot of his calm traits.
Harley is wonderfull dog loves to cuddle and sleep under blankets. He loves small children.
I am so thankfull for all the min pin rescue does. He has put such joy in my life. Here are a couple f pictures of him. He is still a tiny boy about 10 inches tall and about 8 pounds, Ilove him that way. One of his favorite past times is running our privacy fence with my neighbors boxers, He also loves watching for squirrels( he got that from my doberman). Thank you again Nancy, Tinker and Harley - Charlotte North carolina
