Today was a very busy day for us in Miami. We left early this morning towards Coconut Creek FL for a potential home for the little one we took out of the shelter on Fri. Well, when we got there it was amazing how this dog completely started to come out of his shell. He was more active and just loved the attention he got from all three kids. Once we saw that we knew it was a good thing. We got all the paper work done and headed up to West Palm Beach. There we met up with Donna who will be adopting Cheyenne. She turned out to be really nice and you can tell how much love she has for her furbaby.

So all in all it was a great day! (Except for all that RAIN!!!)

Hi All,

I was contacted by another rescue organization that took a 2lb, 10yo minpin out of the miami-dade shelter. They are going to continue fostering her but wanted some help in placing her. She is red, cropped and docked, very active and sweet. She is going to need alot of attention since she feels she needs to be carried around or in your lap 24/7....I don't think this foster Mom wants to fly her anywhere but asked me to post to see if any of our listers were interested in her. I told this rescue person that it sounded as if this teeny tiny girl already had a home but she said that she did large dog rescue and didn't feel comfortable keeping her permanently. If you'd like to see her pic I forward it to Mag to put on the web site.

Lonnie

"Hi Lonnie and thank you for your speedy reply. Sissy is a very special Minpin as she is two pounds! She has a great temperment and only want to be held so she needs a very special person to handle just her. In my opinion they cannot have any other animals as she requires a lot of personal attention. She is quite fiesty and prances around the house. I rescue Pekingese and I also have two females of my own which she is side by side without any problems; but she does require that extra attention. I have taken her to my vet and her heart is good, her appetite is great and she is doing well. She is an older gal but not sure just how old. I will send you a pic and you can judge! She is truly very special!

Hi Mag,

These are pics of Crystal. Crystal was the little dog that was picked up from Pensacola literally minutes from deaths door. She had been labeled as a biter and was not going to be released to rescue. She came from a BYB who had been evicted from their home and animal control had gone in to confiscate all the dogs (aprox 17), some of them were pregnant. Crystal was the only MinPin and didn't handle all the turmoil of the confiscation or the shelter situation well at all. She had bitten the officer at her home, 2 of the shelter workers, the transport person and ME~!!

Once she calmed down, realized that my home was a good place she developed into the most loving little dog. She's learned to trust people, sleep in beds, play with the other dogs and be a generally good companion. She reminds me of Lister as far as her looks go, what do you think?? She was placed in her new home and is the queen of the family...they are madly in love with her and she is happy with them...another happy ending~!!
