Crochet Square for the IMPS Quilt Raffle 2008

The Annual IMPS Quilt Raffle Project is on again. Second prize will be a Crocheted Afghan made using squares donated by MinPin fanciers all over the country. We are now calling for crochet squares, and we would love your help! This is IMPS' biggest annual fundraiser, and we need your support to keep this tradition going.

Once again, Betsy in IN has offered to assemble our Crochet Afghan - a very big Thank You to Betsy!

Square Guidelines:

  1. All squares are to be 8 inches x 8 inches square, and the squares do not have to be edged in a specific color.

  2. All squares are to be made from worsted weight acrylic yarn. Please no cotton or sport weight yarn squares, or any squares with really large open spaces as they tend to stretch and don't hold their shape.

  3. All styles, patterns and colors of both granny and sampler squares will be graciously accepted.

  4. Please finish off your square and leave about a 6" tail at the end, which Betsy will work in when she edge all the squares.

  5. There are no minimum or maximum number of squares that you are required to contribute. Each square is made with love, and received with love. We appreciate any that you send in. However, if you are sending in multiple squares, we would prefer if the squares are all not the same. It makes it easier during assembly, and the overall Afghan will look better.

If you are planning to send in a square or two, please email Betsy at minpinsrule@verizon.net, so we know how many to expect! Remember - the more squares we get, the better! The deadline for squares is 18 May 2008.

Send all finished squares to:
